Frequently Asked Questions
Who is 1:1 counseling for?
1:1 nutrition counseling is for individuals who want personalized, flexible support tailored to their health needs and daily life. It’s especially helpful for those navigating food-related stress, appetite changes, burnout, or complex medical conditions that require individualized nutrition care.
What should I expect in the first session?
Your first session is a 90-minute nutrition assessment focused on understanding your full picture. We'll go over your medical history, medications, supplements, and eating patterns, and talk about how routines, stress, and daily life influence appetite and food choices.
Together we'll clarify your goals and identify realistic next steps so you leave with a clear direction.
You don't need to prepare anything perfectly. If you have a list of medications or recent lab results available, those can be helpful. But we'll work with whatever information you have.
Do you create meal plans?
Yes, meal plans are available when they're useful. If you'd like one, we can build it together during your session so it reflects your schedule, budget, routines, and current energy.
That said, my goal is to help you manage your nutrition without needing a strict plan long-term. Rigid meal plans are often hard to maintain, so we focus on building flexible skills you can adapt as life changes.
Rather than fixed menus, I teach simple frameworks and decision-making tools that help you put meals together in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.
Meal plans can be a helpful starting point. The long-term goal is helping you feel confident feeding yourself even without one.
